MISSION STATEMENT

V-EGANISM is independent in thoughts and actions, only choosing what is right and just for animals, humans, and the environment. V-EGANISM however does have a mission statement which is how the founder of veganism, Donald Watson, originally coined the word's definition. It was a perfect definition then and it still is a perfect definition now. So the following paragraph is V-EGANISM's official Mission Statement:

"V-EGANISM educates people and helps people and animals regarding the political and social justice cause, Veganism, which is a philosophy and way of living which seeks to exclude--as far as is possible and practical--all forms of exploitation of, and cruelty to, animals for food, clothing, cosmetics, household products, entertainment, service or any other purpose; and by extension, promotes the development and use of animal-free alternatives for the benefit of humans, animals, and the environment."

WHAT IS BIODEGRADABLE FASHION?

"UPCYCLING IS NOT JUST A FASHION ‘TREND.’ 10 BRANDS TO KNOW"

"Upcycled pieces are one of the coolest, more ingenuitive areas within eco-friendly fashion. As the eco-friendly fashion blog Ecocult explains, upcycling means to transform clothes, accessories, and textile waste into new products. Upcycled items could be post-consumer waste (items that have been purchased, worn, and discarded) or deadstock (items that did not sell).

Wherever the origin, upcycled textiles are reclaimed and reconstructed to increase their value. Designers work with whatever fabric is available to them at the moment. So, unlike mass-produced fast fashion, pieces are often one-of-a-kind."

"Should We Change The Terminology We Use To Talk About Veganism?"

"When you say you’re vegan, people hear it as a diet choice. When you say you don’t eat animals it’s more of an easily understood statement. First off, by just saying the word ‘animals’ instead of ‘meat’, it registers in someone’s mind differently. When people hear animals, they don’t think of food. Most people would say they love animals. So, when you point out it’s animals they’re eating, it’s a powerful thought for someone to consider."
